Graduation from ucla

I’m proud to have graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. in Film, Television & Digital Media and a Minor in Entrepreneurship.

My time at UCLA allowed me to develop as both a filmmaker and creative strategist through animation, live-action production, marketing, and leadership. Alongside completing my thesis film, I collaborated with student organizations, creative studios, and industry partners—laying the foundation for the next chapter of my career in storytelling, animation, and creative development.

Completed thesis film & festival submissions

I’m excited to share that Control 4C has officially been completed as my UCLA animation thesis film.

A comedy with elements of science fiction, the film follows a young Black woman who travels through pivotal moments in Black hair history using a futuristic hairstyling machine. Through humour and time travel, Control 4C explores identity, culture, and the evolving relationship between technology and tradition.

The film has screened at the UCLA Animation Extravaganza and the UCLA Undergraduate Showcase, with festival submissions underway and more screenings to come.

The project is currently in the casting and rough animation phase, with early visual development and story beats actively taking shape.

Control 4C marks my first narrative animation longer than five minutes, and a major step forward in building a fully realized animated world. More updates coming soon as the project continues to develop.
